FirstSteps for Kids Regional Clinic Director and Research Director to Present Research on Teaching Problem-Solving Skills in Seattle

This weekend, FirstSteps for Kids Regional Clinic Director and Director of Research, Jonathan Tarbox, PhD., BCBA-D, is attending the annual World Conference of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Tarbox will present results from an ongoing project on teaching children with autism problem-solving skills. The project, done in collaboration with fellow FirstSteppers Lisa Stoddard, MS, BCBA, Ashely Colis, MA, BCBA, Erica Christin, MA, BCBA, and Amanda Murry, involves teaching children with ASD the critical executive function skills involved in identifying problems, generating potential solutions, and then choosing, executing, and self-monitoring solutions.
