FirstSteps helped to raise funds for Autism Speaks Los Angeles and Bay Area Walks as well as Autism Society of Ventura County's Aut2Run and raised over $5,000 this year! Over the past 12 years, we have raised over $160,000 in proceeds for autism education and research. In addition to the money raised, our staff enjoyed working with families handprint over 200 balloons, 40oz of paint and 20oz of glitter! We also held our first ever Pier to Pier Fun Run & Walk to help raise money for the Autism Speaks Los Angeles Walk this year!
Our Hermosa Beach and West Los Angeles centers ran and walked between the Manhattan Beach Pier and Hermosa Beach Pier during the Pier to Pier Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, April 15th. Next, our North Los Angeles/Ventura County Center participated in Autism Society of Ventura County's Aut2Run on Sunday, April 23rd. Lastly, our East Los Angeles Center participated in Autism Speaks Los Angeles Walk at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, April 29th.
Thank you to our families and staff who helped to shed a light on autism awareness and acceptance!
