How is my child’s progress documented?
At FirstSteps, on-going assessment of progress is a necessary and valued process. FirstSteps Instructors are trained to take specific and objective data throughout therapy sessions, which are plotted on graphs allowing easy inspection of learning trends. During regularly occurring Team Meetings, your Program Director will review the daily program data and graphs, introduce new targets, and modify teaching procedures to increase acquisition. In addition to regular Team Meetings, Program Directors meet with families twice each year to review overall response to treatment, curriculum completion, and short- and long-term goals.
