Kate Nasuti, M.Ed., BCBA
Director of Professional Development
Kate Nasuti is thrilled to return to First Steps for Kids as the Director of Professional Development after having served in a variety of roles within the organization from instructor to the first Regional Clinical Director in West LA. Throughout her 22 years of experience in the field, she has had the privilege of working in various settings (schools, group homes, client homes, hospitals, clinics) and roles (direct support staff, group home manager, case supervisor, and clinic director) in a variety of states (New Jersey, California, and now Florida).
Kate completed her undergraduate studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, majoring in Psychology and
English. She received her Masters in Science in Special Education from National University, with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis. She has been practicing as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2011.
As the Director of Professional Development, Kate is excitedly infusing her background in Acceptance Commitment Therapy into the various levels of training and creating systems to make an already thriving culture even more connected to company and individual values.
Kate lives by the beach in Florida, where she spends her free time meditating, reading, swimming, practicing yoga, playing her ukulele, and enjoying the outdoors with her dog, Tinker. She is also an avid writer and working on completing her first book, a memoir.
