Lauren Turner, M.Ed., BCBA
Regional Clinic Director, West Orange County
Lauren received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2013. Shortly after graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she began working with children and adolescents with autism as a behavior technician. Her passion for working with children and opportunity to experience the difference behavior analysis can have on individuals diagnosed with autism and their families, led her to continue her education and pursue a career in the field of behavior analysis.
In 2016, Lauren obtained her Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an
emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. During her coursework she continued to gain clinical experience under the excellent leadership and direction of her mentors, which included Dr. Tracy Guiou. After becoming a BCBA in 2016, Lauren continued to serve individuals and their families in Southern California while growing as a leader. In 2023, Lauren began serving in a director role and led a team of twelve BCBA’s and Mid-Level Supervisors.
Lauren joined the FirstSteps for Kids family in 2024 to open the Los Alamitos/West Orange Country Learning Center. She is thrilled to be a part of FirstSteps and lead the Los Alamitos/West Orange County team. Lauren looks forward to continuing her passion to mentor team members, while serving the families in Los Alamitos and surrounding areas.
Ms. Turner and her husband live in Long Beach with their two young children. On the weekends, you can likely find them spending their time together at Disneyland or at their kids’ sports and activities.
