Erica Baron, M.S., BCBA
Regional Clinic Director, W. Los Angeles
Erica Baron graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a concentration in ABA in 2008. During her time at Binghamton University, Ms. Baron interned on campus at the Institute for Child Development under the supervision of renown psychologist, Dr. Raymond Romanczyk. It was there that she experienced firsthand the incredible potency of ABA in helping children achieve their full potential. Inspired, she pursued her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons College. During her graduate program, she also worked as a lead therapist at Nashoba Learning Group, a well-known school in Massachusetts for children with autism.
Following her Master’s degree, Ms. Baron relocated to California and began her work as a Behavior Analyst, designing and overseeing individualized treatment programs for children with autism and providing parent support and education to support her young children’s learning.
Ms. Baron joined the FirstSteps team in 2015 as a Program Director providing treatment and oversight of her clients’ ABA services, developing our center- based service model, and supporting our clinical team. In 2019, Ms. Baron was promoted to Regional Clinic Director, responsible for both the clinical and operational excellence at our busy West Los Angeles office. She currently enjoys research and sharing her expertise of Acceptance and Commitment Training with both our parents and our clinical team to ensure everyone in our community is inspired by their own personal values and those we collectively share at FirstSteps.
Ms. Baron and her husband live in the San Fernando Valley. When not working at FirstSteps you will likely find her on a yoga mat. Ms. Baron is a certified yoga instructor and regularly shares her wonderful zen talents with us by offering classes to our FirstSteps team and to our kids who attend our summer camp, FirstSteps for Friends.
